  • Textbook/Web Learning Platform (WebAssign) -  The math department has switched to a new publisher, Cengage, which uses a learning platform called WebAssign.  There are a variety of options for students to choose regarding accessing WebAssign.  One of the most promising options is called Cengage Unlimited (which included access to WebAssign) and allows students to access any Cengage Product.  If you are taking chemistry, biology, economics, ... and they are using a cengage products then you will have access to their text here.  This is a relatively new option and the department is working on how to best use this feature.  You can also buy a standalone WebAssign account which only last the duration of the course textbook.
  • You will need a WebAssign student account  for this course.  You can purchase a WebAssign student  kit from the OC bookstore.  You will need the course enrollment key  which can be found within the syllabi on page 1..
  • For students who used WebAssign for the first quarter of this course online will just need the course code  for this course which can be found in the syllabi.
  • PROCTORED EXAMS:  Most online Math classes at Olympic College have proctored exams. A proctored exam is when a proctor, such as your instructor, is present to supervise the administration of an exam.  This means that you will need to go to the Olympic College campus, or set up an appointment with a local testing center to take the examinations for this online course.
