to ensure quality care for all children in our state
through increased opportunities for basic and
ongoing training for child care and school-age care
providers.. |

| Washington STARS
focuses on two aspects of professional development:
training and scholarships, and registry
program.. While trying to respect the workload
and schedules of providers, the heart of the
training requirements comes from research and a
number of studies that affirm quality training and
education correlate with quality child care.
The registry is a formal and convenient way of acknowledging
the experience and training of each child care and school age
care provider. |
