Course Description:

An introduction to Windows. Students will navigate and use Windows for simple applications.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students should have an understanding of:

  • The relationship between computer hardware and software

  • The purpose of the windows operating system

  • How to start and shut down windows

  • The use of a mouse, menus, keyboard shortcuts, and toolbars

  • How to move and resize windows

  • How to use dialog boxes and scroll bars

  • How to customize your desktop

  • How to open and close application programs 

  • How to create and save WordPad files

  • How to open, edit, and save Paint files

  • Creating, saving, moving, deleting, and restoring files and folders
