Course: CIS 123 - System Architecture and Logic

 

Course Description:

Provide logic and computational model for small and large computer systems and networks.

 

Course Objectives:

The main goal of the course is to provide students with a foundational knowledge of computer systems architecture and computer logic.  This includes training in the following areas: Problem Solving, Arithmetic, Graphing, Algebra, Geometry, Exponents and Numerical Systems, Essential Electricity and Electronics, Computer Circuitry and System Logic, Symbolic Code and Encoding Systems, Bus Architecture, Operating Systems, Fixed-point and Floating-point Calculations, Computer Programming Concepts, Structured Computer Program Design, and Computer Languages.
