Course CIS 201

Networking Lab

Course Description:

Students meet in the T-213 Lab (or the new T-205 Lab) to plan, develop, and test exercises and hands-on projects assigned in networking course(s) being taken concurrently.  This course may be repeated for a maximum of 9 credits.

Course Objectives:

Upon success completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Complete the assigned Hands-On Projects, Case Projects, and Case Studies which need to be accomplished outside of regularly scheduled class time.
  • Overcome the challenge of completing your most difficult coursework by working in a lab environment where staff help is available during "open lab" hours to assist you with your Hands-On Lab and Case Projects
  • Gain access to specialized equipment and/or software for the purpose of completing assigned coursework that would be difficult or impossible to complete in one of the General Purpose open labs or at home (i.e. "off-campus")
