Course CIS 237 - Information Systems Security II

Course Description:

In this course, we will take an in-depth look at business, computer, network, and physical security concepts and techniques.  We will discuss theoretical models as well as the real world.  This course takes a practical, hands-on approach when examining security tools and methodologies.  Students will learn timeless security principles as well as the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks. This course covers the first five of ten domains of the common body of knowledge (CBK) in the Certified Information Systems Security certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2.

Course Learning Objectives: The student will develop and apply advanced knowledge and skill in implementing and maintaining the components of organizational security.
