Welcome to my Professor's Online Page!

"To teach is not to transfer knowledge but to create the possibilities for the production or construction of knowledge." - Paulo Freire

I received my Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, the home of the mighty Gonzaga Bulldogs (Go Zags!). The focus of my doctoral work was the role of psychological resilience in leadership. I remain fascinated by the phenomenon of human resilience and seek better ways to cultivate it in the life of leaders, organizations, and everyday people.

The best test, and difficult to administer, is: Do those served grow as persons? Do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? And, what is the effect on the least privileged in society? Will they benefit or at least not be further deprived?" - Robert Greenleaf
