Rain or Shine!
Classes will start 20 min after regular starting time (so at 1:35) to allow people time to get to the site. Class will end at 3:10 which is 20 min before the regular end of class to allow you time to get back to campus.
I will meet you in the (small) parking lot (with washroom) which is just west of where Clear Creek runs under Bucklin Hill Road. You may have to park in the shopping center across the road; if so be careful crossing the road. Please carpool!
Bring paper and pencil and something to write on; I will hand out the assignment there. Wear comfortable shoes.
2) ILLAHEE STATE PARK

Classes will start 15 min after regular starting time (so at 1:30) to allow people time to get to the site. Class will end at 3:15 which is 15 min before the regular end of class to allow you time to get back to campus.

We will meet at the second parking lot from the entrance. It is on the right hand side of the road. Please carpool!
Assignment #2
I will meet you there. You will need to print out the study assignment and bring it with you.
You will hand in the completed study sheets on Wed 23th April.
I need to have information that is readable and understandable. Use complete sentences and labeled diagrams where appropriate.
I would like you to describe what you saw (or learnt) in the park in terms of atmosphere, lithosphere, lithosphere-soil, and biosphere. Please use at least some of the terms on the worksheet. Also do the calculation for sea-level rise.
Clothing and
activities
We will be starting in the forest and going down to the beach on a forest trail which is slippery in spots. If your walking capability is limited, please talk to me and we will arrange an alternate meeting place.
Bring:
Shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or muddy. No flip flops! No high heels!
Warm clothing. It is always 10 degrees cooler here than on the OC campus
Bring a waterproof or umbrella if there is any possibility or rain
Pencil and pen
A clipboard, or something like it, to press on.
